Easter Sunday

Well there has been a lot of excitement going on around here...and I know I'm a terrible person for not documenting it. Live has been busy! I've been doing senior shoots, editing them, making graduation invites, working a full-time job, etc. so I kinda have an excuse. I'm actually at work right now. (naughty me!!) But today is kinda slow and I've got my computer because I'm going straight to a house to make up another graduation invitation. :) I love it, though!

Anyway, I just thought I'd share some adorable pictures from Easter Sunday. We were at Ash and Alyssa's new farm place. (It's a fixer-upper for sure, so don't let the word "new" fool you. But it will be absolutely wonderful when they are done with it.) Mitchel went out and scattered some candy-filled eggs across their yard and we went out to collect them when he was done. It took Jonah a few minutes to figure out what was going on. but eventually he got the idea.

Now here's the fun part. Since Jonah's little eyes couldn't see all the eggs on the lawn, Dad and I skillfully guided him toward different places that had them. Watch his face as I got his expressions in succession. Priceless! We'd holler, "Jonah! Look!!! Over here!" and he would come running. Just so precious!

He almost overshot that egg, he was going so fast!

Ok, well it's time to get back to work. I will try to get back on here at some point here soon and write about Ash and Alyssa's new house and a few other exciting things that have been going on. But for now, TaTa!

The First Snow!!

Alright! So it was December 9, 2012 and God finally decided to make it snow! I was ecstatic because, being a photographer with several clients looking for snowy senior pictures, this was Perfect! However, the snow was falling in very small flakes and not sticking very well when, all of a sudden, it turned into the perfect Kissing Snow! (what i call the snow when it's slowly falling in huge clumps of flakes)  This photographer thought to herself, "I should go out there and take some pictures." So I grabbed my camera with my new SIGMA 50/200 OS HSM Lens along with my sister and mother and off we went! Do you want to see some of the pictures? I thought so... here they are! (click on the picture to see the big one)

Plus my sister is learning the ropes! Just look at her go!

And here's the final picture!

New Lens!!!

So I ordered a new lens yesterday. Not sure when it will come, BUT! I simply cannot wait!! Here is what it is:

Sigma 50-200mm f/4.0-5.6 DC IF SLD Optical Stabilized (OS) Lens with Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM)

I am new to the "Professional Photography" world. My mother and I have taken school pictures, senior pictures, even wedding pictures for several years. But we are working on making this into a business. Soon we will be building our indoor photography setup. I'm so excited! I'll keep y'all updated on the progress.

Until then, GB!
